JOSH JOHNSTON is an actor, writer, & musician.


RECENTLY Josh completed a season with Valley Shakespeare Festival, playing The Duke of Norfolk in Henry VIII outside at "Shakespeare in the Park" and also playing Bassanio in The Merchant of Venice. Josh also originated the role of Manny in 5th Floor Theatre Company's premiere reading of The Golden Age at The Producer's Club in NYC, before performing in a benefit production of Nell Gwynn, directed by Alan Paul, at Playwrights Horizons off-Broadway. 


A GRADUATE of Ithaca College’s acting program, Josh has toured America with The Acting Company, performing Hamlet and Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead in rep and performing in a benefit concert of The Cradle Will Rock on Broadway where his "impressive" performance was praised by Playbill.com.


PAST WORK includes The Ravinia Festival in Illinois, and City Center Encores!, Live from Lincoln Center in NYC, and a growing number of Shakespeare plays. 

Be it torch songs or rock 'n' roll, Josh has played the electric bass in a cabaret at The Duplex and also filled in on guitar and vocals for Billy Magnussen in Billy's band Reserved For Rondee at Rockwood Music Hall in NYC.
